Reentry Health Services provides support and direction for returning citizens, ensuring they gain access to all of the services Mettle-Works offers, and ultimately aiming to reduce the recidivism rate by providing access to needed resources. In order to help facilitate access to these resources, the Reentry Navigator Program is implemented.
The Reentry Navigator program provides our justice-involved population an opportunity to be paired with a mentor who will help them identify and work towards life goals, navigate through the barriers they will face returning to the community after being incarcerated, and develop pro-social interpersonal and community relationships.
MEET THE DIRECTOR
Dr. ron garrett
Dr. Ron Garrett now serves as Director of Reentry Health Services and Supports, Mettle-Works Behavioral Health. Garrett is responsible for leading a division uniquely designed and equipped to provide behavioral health care services to returning citizens and their families. The cornerstone of the reintegration program is the Life Success Academy, which is an eight weekday program based of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, a SAMHSA approved evidence based approach. He also, serves as the Executive Director of Reentry United, Inc. A national coalition of individuals, returning citizens, organizations, and agencies across the country who have come together under the Collective Impact Model. Our mission is to implement a comprehensive strategy to the reentry and reintegration process for returning citizens that reduces mass incarceration by reducing recidivism.
